What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an identity management solution that allows users to log in to multiple applications using a single set of credentials. It simplifies user authentication by enabling seamless access to apps and services through a consistent identity provider (IdP).

With SSO, administrators can configure their own internal credentials for app users and sub-administrators. For CodeREADr:

• App users: Use SSO credentials to log into the CodeREADr mobile app.
• Sub-administrators: Use SSO credentials to access the CodeREADr web service.

How to Set Up SSO with CodeREADr

Follow these steps to enable and configure SSO for your CodeREADr account:

Step 1: Request SSO Access

1. Email CodeREADr at support@codereadr.com to request access to the SSO utility.
2. Once approved, the SSO feature will be enabled for your account.

Step 2: Navigate to the SSO Integration Page

1. Log in to your CodeREADr account.
2. Access the SSO Integration page to retrieve your account-specific details:
   • Account ID: A unique identifier required to configure your SSO provider.
   • ACS URL and Audience URI: These are essential for your identity provider setup.

Example:

• ${org.accountId}
• ACS URL: https://secure.codereadr.com/saml/${org.accountId}/assert
• Audience URI: https://secure.codereadr.com/saml/${org.accountId}/metadata.xml

Step 3: Configure Your Identity Provider (IdP)

Using an identity provider like Okta, perform the following:

1. Add the ACS URL and Audience URI obtained from the CodeREADr SSO Integration page.
2. Configure your identity provider with the necessary settings.

Step 4: Enter IdP Details into CodeREADr

After configuring your IdP, retrieve the following:

• Identity Provider Login URL
• Identity Provider Signing Certificate

Enter these details on the CodeREADr SSO Integration page.

Step 5: Test and Save Your Configuration

1. Save the settings in CodeREADr.
2. Test the SSO functionality:
   • For mobile app users: Use the SSO link on the app’s Sign In page.
   • For sub-administrators: Use the SSO link on the website’s Sign In page or navigate to: https://secure.codereadr.com/signin-company/. Enter your
   • organization name and company ID to log in.
